McDonald’s launches its own jewelry line

Wow, this is really a case of lifegoals, isn’t it? Especially for true McDonald’s fans, which I obviously count myself among. Because how fun would it be to walk around with pendants in the shape of the well-known fries boxes? Or perhaps even better, a ring made from a Big Mac box?

And then you might think: doesn’t that look really cheap? Well, no. Quite the opposite, actually.

14-karat gold jewelry

That’s right, the jewelry is made of 14-karat gold. But that’s not the only remarkable thing about it: this new line is also made using litter. Whut? Yep, this campaign is intended to combat litter. The jewelry won’t be available to buy in stores; you can win it instead. How? You may have guessed it already… By putting your waste neatly in the bin.

It sounds so simple, and it is. At more than 250 McDonald’s restaurants, there is a golden trash bin where you can throw away your rubbish, and a bailiff will determine at which bin and at what time the prizes will drop. You have a chance to win by ‘donating’ your rubbish to one of these golden trash bins between now and September 12.
