Milkshake extravaganza

You can’t ignore it anymore: extreme milkshakes are a thing, whether you like it or not. Blown over from Australia, and they can’t be over the top enough. Which makes them extremely Instagrammable.

Where until recently we could only admire the shakes online, more and more places are popping up where you can drink them in the Netherlands. In Amsterdam, you can get them at Bulls & Dogs, Corner Bakery and Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky, among others. FavorFlav’s Emma went to the latter to taste them.

Donuts

There are two varieties on the menu: strawberry and chocolate. A raspberry version will be added soon. They are all loaded with whipped cream, cookies and donuts. We are especially impressed by the donuts on the strawberry shake; they are still warm and incredibly light.

Balanced

Sugar overload, you might think—and it is, to some extent. But the chocolate shake itself isn’t too sweet, and the strawberry shake is very refreshing, keeping everything nicely balanced. Even so, finishing a glass on your own remains a challenge, so definitely bring some reinforcements along on your milkshake adventure.
