Miniature Packages
Some products come in a mini version. Besides being fun and, let’s face it, cute, it’s above all incredibly practical. With a mini Sriracha on your keychain, you can face any unexpected lunch on location.
We previously wrote about the Sriracha keychain. It’s the most beloved mini product in the FavorFlav editorial office. You can buy them here. But besides this red, spicy sauce, there are even more mini products available. Here’s a selection:
Maldon sea salt
Salt is an indispensable ingredient in almost everything. That’s why we shudder at low-salt diets. Sure, eating less salt may well be much healthier. But if a dish is a lot less delicious because of the glaring absence of a good dose of salt, we’re out. Our love for the ultimate flavor enhancer has turned us into salt connoisseurs. As far as we’re concerned, the difference between table salt and Maldon is immense. The white-and-green package full of crunchy salt flakes makes our hearts beat faster. Soy sauce fish
Who doesn’t know them? Just to get our hands on these plastic fish, we occasionally order sushi (you can order really good here). The soy fish are incredibly handy. Thanks to these soy animals, you can effortlessly provide your piece of sushi with exactly the right amount of sauce. A little squeeze for your nigiri, a generous squeeze in your temaki.
A little tip for the creative types among us: save the plastic fish and make a fish curtain by connecting the tails with a piece of string. It sounds more complicated than it is. Just give it a try. If you’re a true crafting champion, fill the fish with different-colored liquids. Quite a lot of work, though.
Bonne Maman jam
An overnight stay at a hotel is instantly many times better with a good breakfast buffet. And if there are also little glass jars with red-and-white checked lids, our day can’t go wrong. Butter
Yes, another favorite product. What would anyone do without butter? At that breakfast buffet, the mini version is already beckoning to us from a distance. Admittedly, the small package has one major drawback. It’s very small. Too small, if you ask us. On the other hand, there’s an added benefit: you can use a new little pat of butter for every slice of bread. So no leftover filet americain on your Nutella sandwich.
Chocolate sprinkles
De Ruyter calls its products in mini packaging ‘Kleintjes’. A little childish, but we forgive them because they stuff the packets full of delicious things. Besides mini chocolate sprinkles, they also have mini flakes, -fruit sprinkles, -chocolate spread, -peanut butter, -apple syrup and -honey. Each one a little celebration on your slice of bread.
