Monthly XL Lunch at Restaurant C

You could already visit Restaurant C for a quick lunch or some highlights that are also served during dinner. Starting this Sunday, you can also enjoy more courses there every week, kicking things off with an XL lunch. XL? You have our attention.

On Sunday, October 15, the brand-new concept will be launched, where you can really indulge. If there’s one thing I miss in the Dutch hospitality industry, it’s an elaborate lunch. Sandwiches, salads and a coffee can be found on every street corner. But most Dutch people seem to have little need for a place where they can enjoy multiple courses at lunchtime. Well, I do, and fortunately for me, you can now do so every week at Restaurant C.
Elaborate Sunday lunch
Every Sunday, you can enjoy a lunch consisting of multiple courses. You can expect the best of C, from the evening menu, but served during the day. If the veal tartare with taleggio, cauliflower, brioche and black olive from the photo is on the menu, we’ll be delighted. Once a month, they pull out all the stops with an XL edition.
Wine or cocktails?
During the XL festivities, you can choose between a three-, four- or five-course menu. Themes such as nose-to-tail and fruits de mer, or seasonal products, are featured. Autumn truffle, anyone? Or asparagus or lemon sole again next year. We don’t yet know what the theme will be this coming Sunday. But we’re certainly looking forward to it.
Temperature
At Restaurant C, everything revolves around temperature. Dishes are divided into categories with degrees Celsius (hence the C), indicating the temperature at which they were prepared. Cold dishes at 20 degrees, or 80 degrees for something cooked very slowly, for example. The lunch menu will be structured in the same way.
