With just some lime juice, vodka, ginger beer and Angostura bitters, you can ‘build’ this light, refreshing cocktail in under a minute.

Build? Yes, you build this cocktail because the drink doesn’t go into a shaker. You pour all the ingredients into the glass one after another and then stir everything around well a few times.

The great thing about the Moscow Mule is that you don’t need serious ‘cocktail-shaking skills’ to make it. It is important to know, however, that you need to put the lime upside down in the lime squeezer so that the sour juice doesn’t splash into your eyes.

Serving

You drink this crowd-pleaser from a copper mug. Why copper? This material ensures that the subtle flavor of each ingredient comes through better. If you don’t have any copperware at home, a (tumbler) glass works just fine too.

Method

Pour the vodka and lime juice into a glass filled with ice cubes. Then top up with ginger beer until the glass is full. Garnish with half a squeezed lime and drip two or three Angostura bitters onto it.
