Must-have: a sturdy, tough foldable BBQ
With restaurants and cafés closed, where we usually spend our free time, we had to fend for ourselves in terms of entertainment over the past year with trips to the beach, the woods and yet more exhausting activities. If you were lucky, you could still find something fun to take away to go, but usually you were simply condemned to soggy sandwiches from a backpack. Luckily, everything is different now!
Not only because we were able to celebrate the reopening of the hospitality industry with cheers (and have been doing so as much as possible ever since), but also because someone has now designed one seriously awesome thing! A foldable, super-handy barbecue on wheels that you can simply chuck into the back of the car (or in the luggage rack of the train—just do it), transforming every outing into a true BBQ feast.
Next-level portable BBQ
The Weber Traveler, as this handsome thing is called, can come along on camping trips, to picnics, festivals—any place you can think of that becomes even more fun when you can barbecue. It can fit up to 20 sausages or 15 burgers, veggie or meat—whatever you like—and if you follow the tips for a successful BBQ (and especially what not to do), you’ll seriously impress with it.
No need to suffer
So you’ll never have to struggle with red-hot little pans on wobbly gas canisters again; if you prepare things reasonably well, you can make incredibly tasty food on it from breakfast through dinner, as long as you also bring a frying pan. Frying an egg? No problem! American pancakes? Bring them on! A whole fish you’ve just caught from the river? Erm, if you know how to clean it: good to go!
Safe and clean
It’s a gas barbecue, so there’s no hassle with fire-hazardous, smouldering charcoal, the lid locks automatically when folded shut, and besides that it simply looks like a supercool appliance. I know what I’m bringing along to the next park picnic!
