You will probably throw away less and less food in the future, because retailers are increasingly focusing on developing the right packaging. They are including this topic in their corporate social responsibility policies.

For food manufacturers, it is a challenge to determine the right quantity so that waste is minimised. Companies are struggling with the issue, according to Karen van de Stadt, a packaging expert at the Knowledge Institute for Sustainable Packaging. Our tip? Just get that old-school pan scraper out again.
