New: Baohuis in Amsterdam-West
Chef Justin Brown, who won awards as the best pub chef of the year, will open Baohuis in Amsterdam-West this summer. Following the success of Bao Bar, you can also enjoy bao and other Asian dishes at Baohuis.
Baohuis will serve Asian fusion food. “Our menu features not only bao, but also a wide variety of Asian dishes,” says Justin. Think poké bowls and kimchi pancakes, as well as ssam fried chicken, Korean chicken eaten in a lettuce leaf and shared with two or three people.
You can come here not only for lunch and dinner; there will also be a small Asian market where you can buy tasty snacks for home, such as puffed rice or crispy spicy broad beans. Justin Brown and his team want to create a broad experience by (literally) being at home in every market. “We also hope to stay open later into the night, so that every now and then we can throw a party.”
The restaurant will open in the first week of June on Van Limburg Stirumstraat, near Westerpark in Amsterdam-West.
