New in NYC: Corner Slice

Ivan Orkin, better known as Ivan Ramen, now also has his own pizza corner.

Ramen
This king of Japanese ramen has been making what many consider the world’s best ramen for years. He started his restaurant Ivan Ramen in Tokyo in 2007. Despite its enormous success, Ivan left Tokyo to open his ramen restaurant in New York. He now has two ramen places in NYC; Ivan Ramen and Slurp Shop. His restaurants in New York are doing extremely well.
Here is a video in which chef Ivan explains how to make miso ramen.
Pizza
The Jewish New Yorker has proven himself in the world of ramen, but was nevertheless looking for—and found—a new challenge. Pizza. The restaurant is called Corner Slice and is located in Gotham West Market, a food hall in Midtown West in Manhattan. In addition to pizza, you can also buy sandwiches and cake there. Ivan also works with La Colombe Coffee, so if you’re looking for excellent coffee, this is the right place too.
We’re already saving up (to fly to NYC, that is; at Corner Slice, you can get a slice of pizza for a few dollars).
