New season of Chef’s Table

For anyone who hasn’t completely binged Chef’s Table Pastry yet: hurry up a little. The fifth season of Chef’s Table is almost on Netflix again.

In the series, a different brilliant chef is followed in each episode, whether that’s the pastry chef of a three-Michelin-starred restaurant or a chef who makes ramen all day. As an interlude, director David Gelb made an entire season about sweets, which has been on Netflix since April this year. He isn’t wasting any time, because season five will already be available from 28 September.

It is not yet known which chefs will be featured this season. I’m hoping for another mix of high-end restaurants and places that us mere mortals can actually go to. Secretly, I find the episodes about ramen and gelato the most fun to watch anyway. Either way, I’m already looking forward to that classic violin music and close-up shots of the most bizarre dishes.
