New season of Ugly Delicious

Have you, like me, been dreaming and drooling over the first season of Ugly Delicious? Then I have good news for you: the Netflix series by hero David Chang is getting a second season.

In the first season, each episode revolves around a particular dish. In the first episode, we dive into the world of pizza; the second takes you to the best places to eat tacos, and my personal favorite is a battle between China and Italy. Who gets to take the credit for inventing stuffed dough? The Italians with their ravioli or the Chinese with their dumplings?

Fuck authenticity

One thing becomes clear: it actually doesn’t matter at all where something comes from, as long as it tastes good. The Italians brought pizza to Brooklyn, where they turned it into a completely different product, but is that bad? No way, man—a slice in Brooklyn is just as delicious as a pizza in Italy.

Which restaurants?

It isn’t known yet which dishes will be in the spotlight in the second season, or which restaurants we’ll get to see. I don’t have an exact release date for you either, but it will probably be at the end of this year or the beginning of 2019. The only thing I know is that the new season was announced by none other than David’s mother. Adorable!
