New summer hotspot: ROOST

Utrecht has gained a new summer hangout: ROOST. Sit outside by the water of the Singel while barbecuing South African-style.

Not only the food, but also the name comes from the South African braai they use for cooking. On the braai, they roast the meat, which is how the ‘outdoor kitchen’ got its name. Once everyone has eaten, it is used as an outdoor fire pit that you can sit around.
The establishment is built from shipping containers, but consists largely of a huge terrace. In good weather, you won’t find a better table in small, busy Utrecht. You can sit indoors, and part of the terrace is covered.

Menu
You can go there for lunch, drinks, or dinner. Alongside classics such as a (South African) sausage, half a chicken, fish of your choice or a hamburger, they also serve hearty sandwiches, salads, fries and real drinks-and-snacks favourites such as nachos.
The barbecue bar is a temporary pop-up. You can visit until the end of October.
