New: vegan ice cream bar Buba Cream in Amsterdam

Hotspot Vegan Junk Food Bar (VJFB) is opening a new bar: Buba Cream in Amsterdam. And yes, of course everything here is vegan too. Even better: it’s an ice cream bar. Whether you follow a fully vegan lifestyle or not, you’ll want to try this! I’m honestly a real sucker for all kinds of ice cream, so it’s extra nice when it can be a little more responsible.

And it’s even more fun when that ice cream is served in a fun setting. And if you’ve ever visited one of the Vegan Junk Food Bar locations, you know: at Buba Cream, it’s a feast of colour. They definitely have a taste for interior design, as well as a taste for good food . And hey, you can also simply combine those VJFB burgers or that vegan kapsalon (so delicious) with this new ice cream.
So what exactly is Buba Cream?
In Asia, Bubble Tea is a huge hit. Some people can’t get enough of the sweetened tea with milk and chewy tapioca pearls, which startle you a little every time they suddenly pop through the straw. You’ve probably seen it on Instagram, and in the Netherlands you’re also seeing more and more Bubble Tea spots (Making Bubble Tea yourself: this is how you do it!). And that’s where VJFB saw a golden combination: Bubble Tea meets ice cream. Finish it off with a few different toppings and you’ve got yourself a magnificent dessert (or snack).
Okay, I clearly want this. Where is it?
Buba Cream in Amsterdam has opened its doors at VJFB’s Oost location, on Eerste van Swindenstraat. The front section is now Buba Cream, while the back section has stayed exactly the same. More and more often, I choose vegan ice cream over dairy at the supermarket, and I’m actually very happy with it. So I’m really curious to try these flavours.
The photo really says it all: this looks great, doesn’t it? Buba Cream in Amsterdam is now open. So, see you there?
