Nigella’s Christmas desserts

nigella lawson met een kerstmuts

If there’s anyone we trust with our Christmas desserts, it’s domestic goddess Nigella Lawson. And no, that’s not what I call her: she actually has a book with that title. So you can’t go wrong. These three bakes of hers are the perfect finale to any Christmas meal.

Warm blondie cake

If you think you’ve tasted delicious blondies before, just wait until you take a bite of this one. You serve the blondie cake while it’s still warm, and the inside is so gooey that you can’t even cut it into pieces—you simply spoon it onto your plate.

Chocolate pavlova with raspberries

This was my go-to dessert at every dinner for years. Honestly, I think I’ve made it about fifty times. The combination of the bittersweet chocolate pavlova with the softly whipped cream and tart raspberries is truly out of this world. That, and it’s super easy. Definitely don’t make this if you’re most looking forward to the leftovers the next day—this pavlova will be completely devoured.

Warm cake with eggnog cream

You love it or you hate it, but eggnog is one of the most Christmassy things you can drink. Or eat, because Nigella makes an eggnog cream to go with this warm, festive cake.
