Oh yes: you can now buy Red Velvet spiced cookies, and they are truly delicious

If December teaches us one thing, it’s that you can take spiced cookies in all kinds of directions. From gluten-free spiced cookies and spiced cookies with less sugar to carrot cake and lemon cheesecake spiced cookies; the promiscuous little cookie of the festive season willingly lets itself be dipped in all sorts of things.

“You come up with them, Bolletje bakes them”

And is that a bad thing? No, quite the opposite! Take this little spiced cookie from Bolletje; it’s the winner of the Bolletje Spiced Cookie Home Election (chosen by the listeners of Q-music). No fewer than 90,000 spiced-cookie lovers signed up to taste which spiced cookie should really hit the shelves this year, and 10,000 people actually munched their way through the selection. From hazelnut praline crunch to Banoffee (banana toffee) and Amaretto (doesn’t sound bad either, right?) and Brownie; the velvety-red little rascal with a delicious layer of white chocolate and a surprising filling left them all behind.

Also highly recommended!

Curious? The Red Velvet spiced cookies are available (for €2.96) at the supermarket, but also at Kruidvat. And if you’re at the latter, grab a bag of their pastel-colored Unicorn spiced cookies while you’re there. So good!
