Okay: at this restaurant, you dine completely naked

You might think that when it comes to food and restaurants, everything has already been done, but I’ve now come across a restaurant… And I can honestly say I’ve never experienced anything like it. This restaurant in Paris had a very special dress code: stark naked.

Granted, you never have to worry about your outfit, but I imagine it’s anything but relaxing. Aside from the other guests seeing you naked, it also seems incredibly inconvenient in practical terms. Surely that can’t be comfortable? And if you’re a clumsy eater, it’s even worse.

Bienvenue á O’Naturel

Even more inconvenient: it’s a gourmet restaurant. HAHA. No, that’s (fortunately) not true, but it does sound incredibly nerve-racking with all those splashes. That would make it strictly for the truly daring. But that wasn’t the case; at o’Naturel, you could get a full menu for around 30 euros. Pretty reasonable, then. But yes, I’m talking about it in the past tense: o’Naturel is no more.

What happened? People simply weren’t interested in going out to eat completely naked. And that’s despite the fact that they had thought of everything: at the entrance, there was a space where you could get changed and temporarily leave your clothes. Still, the guests stayed away and O’Naturel was forced to close its doors. But look below; it actually looked pretty good, right? Anyone interested in relaunching it?
