On a budget: Buurman & Buurman

As far as we’re concerned, there can never be enough places to eat good pizza. The place for pizza in Amsterdam’s Baarsjes district? We’re going for Eetwinkel Buurman & Buurman.

Why is it called Buurman & Buurman? Owners Paul and Coen are former neighbors and felt that the neighborhood still needed a good organic food shop. And that became this place, where you can pick up the most delicious pizzas. If you prefer to eat out, there’s also space to eat your pizza there.

Crispy crust

Wherever you eat them, the crispy thin crust is equally delicious. Our favorite is the Spicy, with chorizo, red chili pepper, buffalo mozzarella, Parmesan and arugula. But the Halal with merguez mince must be amazing too. Vegetarians have plenty of choice as well and can opt for, among other things, spinach and basil sauce or grilled vegetables.

Salad and dessert

There isn’t much else on the menu besides pizza. But there’s always a salad and a dessert, so you can make it a complete meal. But the delicious pizza is enough for us.
