No energy left to cook? We get it. But delicious food is a must, so never settle for less. That’s why we’ve put together our tips for truly delicious takeaway meals, the best delivery services and affordable places.

This Italian restaurant in Rotterdam’s Kralingen neighborhood is always busy, but if you arrive early and the weather is nice, you can enjoy your pizza in the sun here. And believe us, you really want to. It’s a pizza to die for, and you can wake us up for the pasta’s too. Vicini prepares everything à la minute, so the food is always incredibly fresh.

Favorites

Our favorite is the pasta with shrimp and roasted pistachios. The pizza with goat cheese, pancetta and arugula is also highly recommended. As they should be, the pizzas have a thin, crispy crust and plenty of cheese. For next time, we have the pizza verdure, with asparagus, peas and mushrooms, and the pasta vongole on our wish list.

Vicini also has a little shop, which is actually where the restaurant grew out of. This is the place to go if you want to enjoy authentic Italian pasta and wine at home too. Besides their ‘Mercato’, they also have a ‘Laboratorio’. Here you can attend workshops, meetings and language classes.  They’ll also be opening an ice cream parlor soon. We’re curious whether it will be just as delicious as all the other food they serve us, but actually, we have no doubts about it.
