On holiday and learning to cook from Dutch star chefs?

Have you always dreamed of learning to cook like a star chef? You can now do so during an über-luxurious culinary trip to Mallorca.

The top chefs united in Les Patrons Cuisiniers are launching a special initiative. Together with one of the affiliated star chefs, you can now book a super-luxurious culinary experience on the sun-drenched island of Mallorca. Together with chefs such as Edwin Vinke (Kromme Watergang **) or Martin Kruithof (De Lindenhof **), you will discover the island’s culinary gems and get to work together in the kitchen.
Market
Together with the chef, you will create a menu and shop for ingredients at the popular Mercat de l’Olivar fresh market in the town of Palma. During the day, you will go on a food safari by jeep, visiting an exclusive winery and a local olive oil producer, among other places. In the evening, you will help the chef prepare a multi-course, star-level dinner using the local products you bought during the day.

Signature breakfast
Participants in this exclusive four-day culinary journey will want for nothing. You will stay at Mallorca Luxury Villas Can Gelat, an estate with two spacious villas that can be rented separately or—in the case of a larger group—as a whole (maximum capacity: ten people per villa). Each villa has five stylish bedrooms and bathrooms, a private swimming pool, a well-equipped kitchen, tennis court, cinema and various terraces. Thanks to its location on a twenty-hectare estate with a vineyard, you can enjoy plenty of luxury and privacy. Every morning, the chef prepares an elaborate ‘signature breakfast’ at star level.

Swimming pool
Between eating and cooking, you can relax on one of the terraces with panoramic views of the mountains and sea or take a walk among the olive and almond trees. Fancy settling down with a good (cookery) book? Make yourself comfortable on one of the designer sofas in a quiet corner of the villas. Or take a refreshing dip in the saltwater swimming pool.
Yoga
For those looking for a more active way to spend the day, there are plenty of options. You can take yoga or tennis lessons with a private instructor, or go cycling, mountain biking or hiking with a guide who will show you around the island. City lovers can opt for a tour of Palma’s historic centre, including lunch at one of the local restaurants.
Chefs
The trips take place in April (twice), in October (twice) and outside these periods on request. Participating chefs are Martin Kruithof** of De Lindenhof, Edwin Vinke** of De Kromme Watergang, Yuri Wiesen* of Restaurant Wiesen and Egon van Hoof* of Restaurant MOS Amsterdam.
