Paaspop Blond kicks off the festival season: a delicious specialty beer
The festival season is starting again – yes! – and that means heading to Paaspop first. And as it happens, the launch of Paaspop Blond, a limited-edition specialty beer from Brand, will take place there too. With a hint of… banana in the flavor.
Beer and festivals are of course inextricably linked, which is why Brand will be at the festival, opening on Friday, March 29, 2024, and rocking on into the early hours of Sunday the 31st, with the Brand Bierlokaal on the grounds. And then it’s a simple equation. Great music, equally great friends, lovely weather (it really looks like it’s going to happen!) and an exciting beer, and your day/weekend can’t go wrong.
The perfect Paaspop beer
Now of course you want to know more (or had we already won you over with banana?). The beer is brewed with Citra hops and grains of paradise, creating a fresh flavor and a crisp finish. It has a fruity aroma and that hint of banana, which always gives us an instant summer feeling. That was exactly what Peter Sanders, who organizes Paaspop, and Nils Reichhardt, Brand’s master brewer, had in mind. They kept tasting until their mission – brewing the perfect Paaspop beer – was a success.

So there you have it: quite a beer. The cheerful brew will be available throughout the festival on tap and in bottles, and on the campsite in cans too. Not keen on camping? No patience for so many people packed together, muddy feet and a pounding bass in your ears? Or do you already have tickets for the St. Matthew Passion? From Thursday, April 4, 2024, this beer will be available exclusively at (the self-service locations of) Sligro.
