Peace, space and (Scandinavian) design

Are you crazy about (Scandinavian) design and can your kitchen never be full enough of beautiful things? Then DAY kitchen in Amsterdam is your kitchen paradise.

In addition to Scandinavian-looking products, there is also a selection of all the beautiful things from the rest of the world for sale. Think heavy copper pans, coffee makers by Kalita, razor-sharp knives by Robert Herder, beautiful tableware, coffee from Stooker Coffee Roasters and a whole range of special cookbooks. Definitely worth a visit.
Peace and space
What sets the store apart is the peace and space in the shop. While Oldenhof and Duikelman are packed with pepper mills, cookbooks and knife sets, the ladies at DAY kitchen clearly opt for less is more. It’s certainly not empty, but all the items are given room to be seen.
Crowdfunding
The store belongs to Sarah van Hecken and Josine van Kesteren. Both quit their jobs to devote themselves entirely to the shop. That’s brave, as they are both only around thirty. The bank did not make things difficult and saw potential in the two women’s plans. A crowdfunding campaign provided the final helping hand.
