Peach Sorbet

A recipe for buttermilk and peach sorbet that is ready in no time, without an ice cream maker. You will need a blender or food processor for it.

Method
Cut the fresh peaches and the canned ones into wedges, place them in a container and put them in the freezer.
Mix the sugar with the buttermilk and set aside for a few minutes until the sugar has dissolved. Pour the buttermilk into a pan or bowl and cover with a layer of plastic wrap. Place in the freezer until frozen.
Put the frozen peach wedges in the blender or food processor fifteen minutes in advance, without turning it on. This allows the pieces to thaw slightly. Meanwhile, cut the frozen buttermilk mixture into ice-cube-sized pieces. Add the cubes to the peaches and turn on the machine until you have a smooth mixture and the colour has become lighter. Stop the machine occasionally and scrape the mixture from the sides. Blend until you can no longer see any lumps.
Serve immediately or store in the freezer.
