Pixar Shorts: Bao

In March, Pixar announced the arrival of Bao: the latest sweet short film about an aging Chinese mother suffering from Empty Nest Syndrome. Unexpectedly, she gets a second chance at motherhood when her freshly made dumpling comes to life. A sort of Pinocchio, but even cuter. 

Unfortunately, this is pretty much the only thing that has been revealed about this new Pixar short film. Luckily, the trailer suddenly appeared this weekend and believe me; it will melt your heart instantly. And that says something, coming from someone who can recite Denzel Washington’s entire body of work by heart. Bao, then, the best short film of the year. Already. See for yourself:
