Pretty bizarre breakfast

Chinese breakfast for winners
While we go for a wimpy bowl of oatmeal or a slice of bread with butter and cheese, things are much more exciting in China, as can be read in the new issue of Lucky Peach. Issue #17 is entirely dedicated to breakfast. How about a breakfast soup with offal and sheep placenta? According to the Chinese, this is the ultimate hangover breakfast, gives your complexion a boost and makes the yin and yang energies in your body more powerful. Breakfast for winners, then.
Daily Show jokes about fast food
What is wrong with fast food in the United States? According to The Daily Show, quite a lot, as you can see in this video. Delicious sarcasm, sharp remarks and good jokes, just as you’d expect from the show. The best remark? “Eating kale at McDonald’s is like reading at a strip club. You think you’re being classy but you’re still going to come out smelling like wet meat and broken dreams.”
Getting by on two dollars a day
Could you get by on two dollars a day? If you take part in the Elon Musk (the man behind Tesla) Food Challenge, it means you have two dollars to spend at the supermarket each day. Elon Musk did this himself for a month when he was seventeen (even on one dollar a day), and with the challenge he wants to encourage people to handle money creatively and save. During the challenge, Musk says it is important to use your problem solving skills and all the resources within your network. A journalist from Business Insider took on the challenge and, according to her, it was quite manageable. An important tip? Divide a packet of pasta into equal portions in advance. She did occasionally receive help or get offered a meal by friends, but that is simply allowed during the challenge.
