Pringles has two new flavors and this is what we think of them

Pringles chips

New products are always carefully tested by the FavorFlav editorial team. From a Russian salad croquette to a tompouce donut: nothing is too crazy for us. This week we tried Pringles Flame’s new flavors; Spicy BBQ and Kickin’ Sour Cream, and this is what we thought of them.

Whether it’s paprika ridged chips, vegetable chips or one of these two new Pringles flavors: whatever kind of chips I serve myself at the (Friday) afternoon drinks, that bag—or in this case, can—always gets finished in one go. It’s not extremely healthy, but it is extremely delicious.

What does Pringles Flame taste like?

The new Pringles Flame are, you guessed it, deliciously spicy. One a little hotter than the other. For me, as someone who isn’t very experienced with spicy food, the BBQ variety is a bit too much of a good thing—or as FavorFlav’s Sharon shouted: ‘my whole mouth is on fire!’—but the Kickin’ Sour Cream chips are exactly right. Both chips are well-seasoned, and that is precisely what sets them apart from the good old Sour Cream & Onion and Texas BBQ flavors. As Pringles itself describes them, these new varieties are more intense. And we can’t disagree.

Hungry?

That’s why my favorite is the Kickin’ Sour Cream chips. I definitely recommend them! My housemate, an enthusiastic barbecuer, likes the BBQ flavor best, so it just depends on which (weird) chip flavor you prefer. So try them yourself! The new Pringles Flame flavors are on sale at DEEN; you can get a can for just 1 (!) euro. Add a cold specialty beer and you’re all set.
