Recipe: how to make the most delicious filet américain at home

From polder crayfish soup to this recipe for homemade and brilliant filet américain: The Bible of Dutch Cuisine is the cookbook for everyone who wants to get to know classic regional dishes from all corners of our country (even) better. With her recipes, Janneke Vreugdenhil shows you that Dutch cuisine is far more diverse, interesting and delicious than you ever imagined!

Janneke: “We got the idea of dressing finely chopped or minced raw beef with a mayonnaise-like sauce from the Belgians. But while our southern neighbours invariably serve their filet préparé with fries, our filet américain is a bread topping. It is very tasty and easy to make yourself. The only downside is that afterwards you will never want anything other than homemade filet américain.”
How to make filet américain
