Wilma: “This is a recipe my grandmother and mother taught me. I love simple recipes because they take me back to my childhood!”

How to make the wine cookies

  • Preheat the oven to 190°C.
  • Mix all the ingredients except the flour. Then gradually add the flour until you have a smooth cookie dough.
  • You can give them your favorite shape. Traditionally, Italians make small, irregular doughnuts (approximately 7 to 8 cm in diameter), coat them with white sugar and bake them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper in a preheated oven for 15–20 minutes.
  • They like to eat these cookies for breakfast, with a glass of milk or tea, or dipped in wine at the end of lunch or dinner (like cantucci or something similar)!
