No really, food bible Lucky Peach is calling it quits. The May issue will be the very last of this brilliant magazine, launched in 2012, which never ceased to surprise with treatises on the origins of ramen noodles or spaghetti with tomato sauce (China). Rest in peach Lucky Peach.

Lucky Peach was (are we already speaking in the past tense?) the food magazine of American-Korean chef David Chang that took the time to investigate exactly how things work, for example, with Vietnamese pho.

Heart
It stripped a single ingredient down to the bone. Or delivered a long-winded humorous treatise on street food, bizarre eating habits and… well, what didn’t it cover? As long as food was even tangentially involved, anything went in this unpretentious, colorful little magazine that was devoured worldwide by everyone with even the slightest bit of heart for food.
