RIJKS® x Nerua

As if RIJKS® itself isn’t already cool enough, the Michelin-starred restaurant sometimes also organizes evenings you really don’t want to miss. On November 2, 3 and 4, the restaurant is joining forces with another amazing museum restaurant: Nerua.

RIJKS® is, of course, located in Amsterdam’s Rijksmuseum, while Nerua is located in the Guggenheim in Bilbao. Based on that alone, this is already a match made in heaven, but Nerua is—just like RIJKS®—not just any museum restaurant. The restaurant opened in 2011 and received a Michelin star that same year. It is now ranked number 57 among the best restaurants in the world. That’s quite something, right?
- Avocadocrème, fenegriek-ijs, zwarte olijf en koffie
- Lamstong, gefrituurde bloemkoolpuree en Lamb tongue, fried cauliflower puree and Jerez
- Garnalencomsommé, nata de coco en curry
- Yuccataart met bananen-ijs
Minimalist
Chef Joseon Alija will cook a special menu together with Joris Bijdendijk during the event. At Nerua, they cook extensively with local products from nearby vegetable gardens, seas and farms. All the dishes look very minimalist, but as soon as you taste them, you immediately notice how much technique and flavor go into every bite. Whether it’s avocado cream with fenugreek ice cream, black olive and coffee, or shrimp consommé, nata de coco and curry.
Reservations
During the weekend, you can come for lunch (€85 per person) or dinner (€120 per person). Reservations can be made online via the RIJKS® website. There are still a few spots left, so book that table quickly!
