Thirsty tales
Size matters and Jay-Z has the biggest one

You’ve probably held a magnum in your hands at some point. No, not that ice cream, but a one-and-a-half-liter bottle of champagne. But it can get even bigger. Much bigger, as Jay-Z proves.

A magnum is already special, but things can get even crazier in Champagne. There are no fewer than 14 (!) official bottle sizes, from the small Piccolo, a ‘quarter’ of a standard bottle, to the Melchizedek or Midas, which is 40 times the size of the standard bottle.
Flashy bottles
The only producer of such a bottle, making just around 6 bottles per year, is Armand de Brignac, also known as Ace of Spades. The house, which has been around since 1763, owes that nickname to the ace of spades on the striking gold, silver and rose-metallic bottles.

More than 45 kilos!
The champagne house with the shiny bottles has been owned by none other than Jay-Z for several years now. The Midas Armand de Brignac Brut Gold is nearly one and a half meters tall, weighs more than 45 kilos and is filled with 30 liters of the famous bubbly. For a mere fifty thousand euros, it’s yours!
