Just want a quick bite, but not in the mood for yet another burger? At the recently opened Don’s Noodle Shop in Tilburg, you can enjoy fantastic noodles for a great price.

“You can buy me flowers, but you better ba-mi-soup,” it says in large letters on the window. That’s not the only playful slogan you’ll find in this noodle shop. The menu features dishes such as Salt bad for shio and Ride it, my phony. Nineties hip hop and R&B play over the speakers, and Don’s Noodle Shop seems almost too cool for school.

Healthy noodle soup

All fun aside, with that street vibe, what do you actually get to eat? Lots of different types of (healthy) noodle soup. From spicy broth with coconut and lemongrass, pak choi, tofu and tempeh for vegans to the infamous salt bae mentioned above. That one comes with a salty Japanese chicken broth, chicken, nori and a soft-boiled egg.

Street food

Alongside a wide range of noodle dishes, the menu also offers plenty of other Asian street-food favourites. From dumplings and bao buns to salads with braised meat. Everything is fresh, homemade and healthy too.
