Snackspert is disgusted by Heinz’s new mayo mousse: what a terrible product!

Eke Bosman, better known as Instagram phenomenon @snackspert, ate his first frikandel as a baby, hates vlammetjes, has devoured at least 1,500 burgers in his lifetime, suspects there is more mayonnaise in his body than blood, and shares his best and worst snack reviews every other week on FavorFlav. This time, among other things, he cries over Heinz’s new mayo mousse and enjoys the most delicious katsu sando imaginable.

Heinz mayo mousse

There it is, tested live on @beau_rtl: Heinz’s mayo mousse. Anyone who saw the broadcast already knows the verdict, but may I still ask once again how this product made it through quality control? How was this conceived? Why wasn’t the person who suggested this during a brainstorm thrown out of the window! The mayo from a whipped-cream dispenser has a very strange taste because of the air present; you can taste on every level that there is gas in it, and it’s so unpleasant that you feel like breaking your leg. Or something. What a terrible product. ⭐️

Big Mac chicken katsu sando, De Toko, Rotterdam

Regardless of whether Feyenoord will win the Conference League, Rotterdam already has a winner: De Toko, run by heroes Perry and Maurice. For a while now, besides ordering Indonesian dishes there, you can also enjoy a Big Mac chicken katsu sando on the terrace at Noordplein. Say what? Yes, you read that right: a katsu sando, but Big Mac-style. Saturdays only. Because they can. Such a delicious classic cheddar slice on top that melts while you eat, a delectable Big Mac sauce… what more could you want? At last, a katsu sando that is different from its peers. It is honestly one of the best I have ever eaten, and do you know why? The pieces of chicken are much thicker than in the average sando—that has to do with the type of chicken, but also with the fact that it isn’t flattened so much. Especially in combination with the cheddar, it’s so delicious, meine güte. Do yourself a favor and go to De Toko, because the word ‘knallen’ has acquired a new meaning in the Dikke van Dale. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Streeckgenoten shoarma roulade, Albert Heijn

Hello and welcome to a new episode of ‘Gross or not gross, but I’ll eat it anyway!’ Today we’re covering the Streeckgenoten shoarma roulade, which you can now find at Albert Heijn. You may have come across shoarma roulade at other supermarkets (in the distant past), but it was new to me. And yes, it sounds gross, but there is also such a thing as ‘deliciously gross’. This shoarma roulade fits that category perfectly. It’s basically pork belly with shoarma spices, but shoarma is essentially just strips of meat with shoarma spices too. So that argument shouldn’t count as a negative. It really is a guilty pleasure: you know you’re not eating gourmet food, but you still enjoy it. A bit like having a rebound for one night. Enjoying it secretly. Delicious on a bread roll, topped with garlic sauce, laying thick slices on top, adding a little iceberg lettuce, and you feel like an 18-year-old eating a shoarma sandwich with far too much smelly sauce after a night out. Wonderful. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
