Special Wine from the Promised Land

Every once in a while, you drink a wine that stays with you, and the 2014 blanc de noir from Amphrorae Wines from Israel is one of them. It is fruity, fresh and light, and you serve it between ten and fourteen degrees. Perfect for a warm day, then.

If you look closely at the wine’s label, you only then notice that this wine does not come from Italy or France, but from the Promised Land. In terms of colour and flavour, it falls somewhere between white and rosé, but it is made from blue grapes. Hence the name ‘blanc de noir’.
Grape varieties
The wine consists of sixty percent cabernet sauvignon, just over thirty percent merlot and seven percent cabernet franc, all blue grape varieties.
