Sterkwater quenches your thirst

There’s a new mixed drink on the market: Sterkwater. The drink consists of sparkling soda water and alcohol (4.5 percent) – a simple yet golden combination.

Its simplicity makes it suitable for, well, pretty much anything. You can ‘dress up’ Sterkwater however you like. Go wild with mint, lime, ginger, cucumber, grapefruit, basil, anything. In Amsterdam, you can get it at various bars, including Hanneke’s Boom (near Central Station) and de Groene Vlinder (De Pijp). The founder of Dutch hip-hop – Extince – made a remake of his legendary song ‘Spraakwater’ to mark the launch. The new track is called, you guessed it, ‘Sterkwater’.
