Students charged after replacing roommate’s cheese with foot shavings
Honestly, we’ve all pulled a prank on our friends, colleagues or family at some point. I once scared my friends by leaving an ‘angry letter’ from ‘our neighbours’ in our Airbnb in Barcelona, and I secretly put Parodontax (yes, that salty toothpaste) in my babysitter’s chocolates. But some people take things just a little too far.
Well.. ‘a little’? Let’s just say they went completely, totally, unequivocally and enormously over the line. At Northwest Iowa Community College (NCC) in Sheldon, three female students thought it would be funny to put shavings from their feet in their roommate’s bag of cheese. EW.
A special flavour
They calmly watched on that fateful Friday, March 13 (officially proven to be an unlucky day), as their roommate unwittingly ate this ‘toe cheese.’
Whether it was meant as a prank or whether they intended to harm their roommate is unknown. What we do know is that the students were charged a month later, on April 20.
The College spokesperson has said that they are aware of the incident and are awaiting further investigation.
Pre-corona
Although the ‘prank’ itself is obviously disgusting enough, it’s even more horrible in these times when hygiene is extra important. It should be noted, however, that there were no cases of corona in Iowa at the time of the incident. But still. Ugh. So gross.
