Sunday Evening Fare: Cradam

Just a quick tip from the editorial team, because if you’re craving classics on Sunday, book a table at this institution.

It’s Sunday, and I never really feel like cooking then. You can order in, but that’s so unsociable. Cradam around the corner from the Westerpark (which stands for Café-Restaurant Amsterdam) it is. Lots of commotion, lots of families and always fast service. Truly such a lovely hangout where all of Amsterdam comes together.
You want to eat everything on the menu. And there’s a lot of it. Think starters such as a salad with burrata and aubergine, rillettes, oysters, lobster and shrimp croquettes. Then rib-eye with béarnaise, ossobuco, schnitzel or a hearty piece of fish.

If you still have room for dessert, there are classics such as dame blanche, crème brûlée, tiramisu, strawberries with ice cream and whipped cream, and apple pie.
