Take care: Albert Heijn warns about currant raisin bread

One recall follows another in quick succession. We had barely finished cleaning out our spice cabinet because of salmonella in Verstegen spices when Albert Heijn came out with another safety warning. This time, it concerns their currant raisin bread.

Albert Heijn has decided to remove AH Currant Raisin Bread (5 slices) with a best-before date of 16/04/2022 from stores because the packaging accidentally contains AH muesli bread. As a result, a number of allergens are not listed.

Purchase price refunded

Yes, that may sound like nitpicking, but for people with allergies to nuts, barley, oats and rye, this is no laughing matter. They are therefore urgently advised not to eat the product and to return it to an Albert Heijn store, where they will receive a refund of the purchase price upon returning the product.
