Tasting: the cotton candy grape

Love grapes? Then keep an eye out for Cotton Candy grapes at the supermarket: white grapes with a cotton candy flavour. With a bit of luck, you’ll find them.

The Cotton Candy grape is a little more expensive than a regular grape, but that extra euro is definitely worth it if you really love sweet flavours. It tastes incredibly juicy and, above all, much sweeter than the grapes you’re used to—slightly caramel-like. Like cotton candy? Yes, we think you can certainly compare the flavour to that. Another plus: these grapes are seedless.
Special cross-breeding
Don’t worry: the grapes are not given sugar water while they’re growing, nor is cotton candy flavouring added to the fruit once they’re ready. The grape is simply a special cross between two sweet grape varieties.
