Tasty snack: you’ll want to try this new popcorn

Oh popcorn, what a delicious snack it is, even despite the fact that it so annoyingly gets stuck between your teeth. I no longer make popcorn myself now that I’ve discovered some really delicious varieties.

Endless possibilities

What I love about popcorn is that you can vary it endlessly. Sweet popcorn flavors are of course the obvious choice, but savory variations are delicious too. But now I’ve found some delightful (organic) popcorn that’s vegan and gluten-free, and not as sickly sweet as many other varieties in the supermarket or the popcorn I make myself.

Responsible snacking

That’s Moonpop popcorn. The grains are GMO-free and all the other ingredients are organic: organic corn and organic coconut oil (as a binding agent for the flavor), produced without chemical fertilizers or artificial pesticides. Not only good for you, but also for the environment. Doesn’t that make snacking even more satisfying?

Paprika, um… popcorn?

Moonpop popcorn is available, among other places, at Ekoplaza from €2.19, and comes in three flavors: Farmers Paprika, Lovely Sweet’N Salty and Sailor Seasalt. I especially like the sweet-and-salty variety; not too salty and not too sweet, but perfectly balanced. The paprika popcorn is the most surprising. I completely understand paprika chips, but I find this much less intuitive for popcorn. And yet: it works! That’s thanks to the blend of paprika, smoked salt and cumin used to season the popcorn. Definitely worth trying.
