The Art of Drinks, the biggest drinks event of the year, is coming up again

<strongRound up your favorite squad, because on October 26, the biggest drinks event of the year is coming up again. The Kromhouthal in Amsterdam-Noord will be transformed into The Art of Drinks. With more than 1,000 (!) different spirits, this is the place for wine and beer lovers, whisky fanatics and cocktail shakers to taste all kinds of drinks, get inspired or simply raise a glass with friends.

The annual drinks festival The Art of Drinks is back for its fourth edition. And it’s bigger than ever! Where The Art of Drinks consisted of four different areas last year, there will be eight at the festival this year. 

The Art of Drinks

Hobby oenophile, cocktail lover or true whisky fanatic? At The Art of Drinks, everyone can discover and try new things. Here you’ll find wines from 12 countries, 40 whisky brands with around 300 different whiskies, 10 craft breweries, 15 rum makers and around 20 more stands where you can taste other surprising (non-alcoholic) spirits. 

More exclusive spirits

With a ticket (which costs €35), you can taste 500 drinks. From special dark spirits to innovative non-alcoholic options. You’ll also have the chance to try more exclusive spirits for a small fee. At LittleMill, among other things, a 32-year-old whisky worth €2,500 will be opened. Prefer to raise a glass with friends? Besides tasting glasses, many drinks and spirits are also available to order in full-size servings at the bar. And the famous Kopstootbar will get the party going with a DiscoBingo.

Tastings

There’s plenty to taste, but there’s also plenty to learn at The Art of Drinks. In various tastings, you’ll delve deeper into the stories behind the drinks. Wine lovers, for example, can parade with the Bellissima Bellussi Prosecco Parade past a tasting of special bubbles. At Turntable whisky, founder Alasdair Stevenson lets enthusiasts experience the art of whisky blending. And Hayman’s of London takes visitors through gin’s 400-year history.

Tasting passports

The tasting passports are back this year too, helping visitors navigate the gigantic selection of drinks. Are you an adventurous drinker? Then use your tasting passport to tour different stands and try special wines or spirits at an extra attractive price. Exactly what’s on the card is not known in advance. But one thing is certain: you’ll taste something unique. The tasting passport comes in seven themes: Wines Around The World, Single Malt Premium, Single Malt PremiumPlus, Single Malt Ultrapremium, Rum Premium, Rum PremiumPlus and Spirits Around The World.

The passports are available to buy at the festival or order in advance on the festival website. You can also buy your ticket there (for €35).
