Chocolade-op-plank

From bean to bar

During the two-day chocolate extravaganza, 100 chocolate makers and cocoa farmers from all over the world present exceptionally delicious and sustainably produced chocolate (from 2025, all chocolate on the Dutch market must be sustainable). How about chocolate from Zambia or Suriname, Vietnam or Colombia? The festival covers the entire production chain, from bean to bar. At the USA Chocolate Pavilion, for example, bean-to-bar craft chocolate makers are present, and you can taste chocolate that is not yet available for sale in the Netherlands.

The most expensive chocolate in the world

There are also special tastings. During the bean-to-bar workshops, for example, you’ll learn how to make chocolate yourself from cocoa beans. Do you dream of becoming a chocolate sommelier? Then take the course where you’ll learn to taste chocolate like a pro. Besides the workshops and tastings, you can sample exclusive To’ak Chocolate at the festival—the most expensive chocolate in the world. The top bars sell for 450 euros!
