Thirsty tales

The tastiest beer to enjoy with your doughnut ball

Lowlander brut schenken (1)

We regularly raise a glass of beer, but sometimes we want to hear the pop of a cork to celebrate something properly. Or simply both. Enter: champagne beer. Perfect as an aperitif, served in a coupe or flute glass, during dinner (nothing is trendier than beer pairing), with a cheese board (mmm, with creamy camembert), greasy charcuterie and last but not least: with a doughnut ball.

Lowlander surprised us with their delicious Lowlander Botanical Brut: botanical beer, wine and champagne in one bottle (although the French probably won’t be happy to hear us use the C-word if it’s not the real deal). Brewed with grapes and spruce needles, the Botanical Brut (6.8%) has a dry, sparkling fruitiness with lightly hoppy citrus notes.

Pop some beer too?

Hop & pop is, as far as we’re concerned, the cheeriest duo since Bassie & Adriaan. You can buy a bottle of Lowlander Botanical Brut at Albert HeijnGall & Gall or through the Lowlander Botanical Beers webshop.
