The trick to reheating pizza quickly (without making it soggy)

It doesn’t happen often, but every now and then I have some pizza left over. And although I have absolutely no problem with cold pizza—in fact, quite the opposite—a second (warm) round isn’t bad either. But how do you do it?

You can reheat it in the oven or frying pan, but that requires patience and the crust often becomes harder than you’d like. Another option is the microwave, but yes, we all know that leaves you with a sad, soggy pile of pizza.

Tips from Domino’s

Fortunately, the experts at Domino’s pizza have the solution. Perfect pizza—not too hard, not too soft—and best of all: it doesn’t take long.

According to the experts, you should put a cup of water in the microwave next to your pizza. Then turn it on for thirty seconds and voilà: there’s your deliciously soft yet crispy pizza.

Of course, Domino’s adds the disclaimer that they can’t guarantee your pizza will taste as fresh as it did before, but it’s definitely better than reheating it in the microwave without a glass of water.

DIY Calzone

Craving a pizza ‘Calzone’? Place two pieces on top of each other and put them in a sandwich press. In the video below, they show you how. Just be careful when eating it: the inside is HOT.
