These Lay’s chip flavours are the ones you miss the most

Two years ago, as the official partner of the FIFA World Cup 2022, Lay’s launched three new flavours, specially for the football World Cup. But instead of extreme excitement, the new flavours mainly evoked feelings of nostalgia. The internet went wild over old chip flavours that Lay’s should preferably bring back immediately. These are the chip flavours you miss the most.

Lay’s Stokbroodje Kruidenboter
We’re talking about bags of Lay’s that you can no longer buy in the Netherlands. Such as Lay’s Stokbroodje Kruidenboter—what a winner that was. Good news: you can still buy it at Rewe in Germany.

Lay’s Mango Red Chili
FavorFlav’s Wieke really misses the black bag of Lay’s Barbecue in the Netherlands. We always bring those back for her from France (where you can buy delicious Lay’s). And the Cream & Chives. And she isn’t the only one, because a lot of people miss this classic. Lay’s Mango Red Chili is also hugely missed. At the time, this flavour lost out to Lay’s Patatje Joppie. There is even a petition for Lay’s Mango Red Chili. Yes, you can still sign it if you also want this flavour back on the shelves as soon as possible.
Lay’s Superchips Hot Wok Chili
People have also been campaigning for years to bring back Lay’s Superchips Hot Wok Chili. A few submitted reactions:
‘Dear Lay’s, as you can see, many people are very disappointed by your decision. At the time of writing, at least 312 people have also signed the petition to bring this flavour back. Hopefully you will reconsider. I have been waiting for this flavour for 8 years. Don’t disappoint us, Lay’s…’
‘Still my favourite crisps. You still haven’t managed to bring a decent alternative to the market. Just launch these again. Done.’
‘Yaaaaay!!!!!!!!! I’ve been waiting 11 or 12 years for this!!!!!!! There have never been crisps this delicious again.‘

Lay’s Nori Seaweed and Lay’s Lobster
And if I may make a request myself: I would really love to see Lay’s Nori Seaweed in the Netherlands. Sushi-flavoured crisps—how delicious does that sound! I ate them in Thailand; they were wonderful!

And in Azerbaijan I discovered Lay’s Lobster. Lobster-flavoured crisps: divine! (I OF COURSE contacted Lay’s immediately, but for now there are no plans to introduce this flavour in the Netherlands…)
