These recipes are good for the environment

Ever heard of circular cooking? Neither had we. In the new cookbook Circular Chefs well-known chefs such as Joris Bijdendijk share their climate-friendly recipes. The chefs are doing their bit by cooking circularly; in other words, in a climate-friendly way.

This way of cooking ensures that our eating habits are as kind as possible to the planet and its nature. And that is necessary. A third of the climate impact comes from everything we eat and drink, which is quite shocking, isn’t it?
From nose to tail
Circular cooking means cooking in a way that minimises our impact on the planet. In other words: from nose to tail and from peel to seed, we should use every part of the product while cooking. Or eat more plant-based food and less meat.
Time for change
In the Netherlands, we need 3.6 planets to sustain our current consumption habits. So it’s time for change. The book Circular Chefs features simple, accessible recipes that are good for nature and that can impress your date too, if we are to believe Joris Bijdendijk.
