After winning the hearts of burger lovers in Amsterdam for years with their juicy burgers, it’s time to reach a larger audience. The iconic burger bar THE BUTCHER has spread its wings and is now coming to Schiphol. The pop-up will be located in the revamped food court between Lounges 2 and 3, after security.
Haute fast food at the highest level
Since 2012, THE BUTCHER has been known as a casual burger bar serving haute fast food. With locations in prime spots across Amsterdam, from De Dam to the Negen Straatjes, THE BUTCHER has established itself as the place for a bloody delicious burger in the city. But now it’s time to expand beyond Amsterdam, and Schiphol is the perfect place to do so.
For hungry travelers
With an average of more than 150,000 passengers every day, Schiphol is the place where people are on their way to their next destination, but where hungry travelers also need fast yet delicious food. I was already very happy with the new Eataly at the airport, and THE BUTCHER also makes my heart beat faster. Burgers made à la minute that are genuinely delicious: beam me up!
What can you expect on the menu?
Naturally, THE BUTCHER’s classics such as THE BUTCHER with Cheese, The Daddy and THE BUTCHER Double Smashed, but that’s not all. This pop-up is about much more than burgers alone. Think Back Ribs, Schnitzel, Entrecote Steak and tasty salads. And of course, for true enthusiasts, (boozy) milkshakes that might make you forget the rest of your journey.
The pop-up as the start of more at Schiphol
The pop-up at Schiphol is just the beginning. This temporary location marks the lead-up to a series of new locations for both THE BUTCHER and Toni Loco at the airport. In 2026, THE BUTCHER will open its doors in the revamped food court in Lounge 1. Toni Loco, known for its American-style 50-centimeter pizzas, will also open its doors at Schiphol Plaza, further strengthening the range of food options at Schiphol. No more excuses to buy that salty junk food (for too much money) on the plane.
