This Is What Makes Wine Lovers Happy (Gift Tip!)

The biggest hassle at Christmas, apart from cooking, is the hunt for the best gifts. Gifts that show you’ve really thought about them. That you know exactly what someone likes and enjoys. We got your back. Because what did we discover? At de Bijenkorf, you can have your bottle of wine engraved.

Do you have a wine lover in the family? Want to surprise your friend/partner/colleague/yourself even more with a delicious wine, including a personal message? This weekend, all de Bijenkorf stores in the Netherlands are kicking off the so-called ‘personalisation weekend‘.
Your first kiss
On 14, 15, 21 & 22 December, de Bijenkorf will turn all gifts into personal presents. Throughout the weekend, the most beautiful gifts will be personalised free of charge. You can give your father a personalised bathrobe, but there’s a good chance he’ll be even happier with a bottle of Penfolds. At least, if Penfolds’ reputation is anything to go by: ‘Wine lovers remember their first Grange the way they remember their first kiss‘. Grange, Australia’s most famous wine, is made from shiraz. Intense, seductive, powerful. A bottle like that will easily cost six hundred euros, but Penfolds also makes many affordable shiraz wines, such as the Bin 28 Kalimna Shiraz.
Tasting in the pop-up
You can taste the Bin 28 and other Penfolds wines from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. every day in a pop-up at all stores. When you buy a bottle, the wine will be wrapped in special Penfolds wrapping material. On 14 & 15 December, you can also have your bottle engraved free of charge. A top gift, if you ask us.
