Intelligent lockdown is a reality and the six-foot social-distancing society is our future. In the category of ‘life’s questions’: how can you still enjoy a toast with friends?
Luckily, beer brewery Borne has thought about that. The solution is a gadget arm that unfolds towards your beer buddy, so you can clink glasses while keeping a safe distance as recommended by the RIVM. The arm bends back towards you just as easily, for the most delicious first sip.
And who are these clever people from Borne beer brewery? A local brewery near – you’ll never guess – Borne in the Dutch province of Overijssel, founded in 2017 by a specialty beer enthusiast and now the proud brewery of two specialty beers. Their first beer, Boris, is a strong one at 8.1 percent, while the Spanjaard is a refreshing blonde beer. Their webshop sells glasses, gift packages and beer coasters, but not this handy toasting harmonica (yet?).
