This surprising ingredient makes the most delicious healthy brownies ever

This is going to sound very strange, but promise me you’ll just try it first and only form an opinion afterwards… Because this is seriously surprisingly delicious — and it’s a healthy addition. Not that you’re going to eat brownies for their health benefits, but it’s a nice bonus, right?

And that’s why you’ll want to start putting zucchini in your brownies from now on. Yep, let that sink in for a moment… Zucchini. In. Brownies.
Zucchini in your brownies: a delicious addition
It’s not that zucchini replaces another ingredient in your brownies, but you really use it to make your brownies a little more soggy. Deliciously gooey brownies, in other words, instead of (too) dry brownies. And you can add quite a lot of it; if you’re making an entire brownie cake in a baking dish, you can easily add one or two medium-sized zucchinis. Going for muffins? Use one to one and a half.
Grate it finely (you can leave the skin on if you like), and then it’s very easy: simply add it to the batter when it’s ready and stir well so the zucchini is evenly distributed. If you’d rather not have any texture from the zucchini at all, you can also purée it. That way, you won’t notice it at all, while your brownies will become wonderfully gooey and gain much more volume.
And it absolutely doesn’t taste like vegetables, so you don’t need to worry about that.
