Wine Folly – from the creators of the website of the same name – is without a doubt the most fun guide for the new generation of wine drinkers. With it, everyone suddenly understands what wine is all about. And even for the professional, it’s still a pleasant reference book.

Basically, a picture book for grown-ups

No wine jargon

It’s packed with facts that make the sometimes opaque world of wine accessible. Plenty of practical information to help you choose a wine straight away. And then understand what you’re tasting too. It covers grapes, wine countries, identifying flavors and suitable glasses. But useful tips and tricks for serving wine and pairing it with food are also included. And all without that confusing wine jargon.

Picture book

With this book, Madeline Puckette has brilliantly managed to bring our digital needs back to the printed word. The guide is primarily a visual reference work – with wonderful infographics that you keep looking at – aimed especially at the everyday wine drinker. And to keep things clear, the information has deliberately been kept short and concise. Basically, a picture book for grown-ups.

I would have loved to make this book myself. Luckily for you, it’s already here.

Wine Folly is available in Dutch, English and as an Ebook.

“A magically vivid wine guide for our information age – cuts through the complexity of wine like a Champagne saber.’”-  Mark Oldman, Wine Expert, Oldman’s Guide to Outsmarting Wine
